The Inn

The inn was constructed in the mid 18th century to accommodate early travelers along the Mohawk River. General Phillip Schuyler and his men stayed here in 1792 while surveying the route for the Western Inland Navigation and Lock Company. The Erie Canal put the inn out of business when it opened in 1825.
